'Tchefuncta' encompasses 900 acres of beautiful natural woodland terrain located on the scenic Tchefuncta River 38 miles from New Orleans on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. It has spacious home sites in a natural setting of towering pines and cypress, green live oaks and flowering dogwood. Wild azaleas abound along with an abundance of other shrubs, plants and wildlife native to the area. There is also a picnic park area and a boat launching ramp on the shores of 'Tchefuncta's' Lake Emfred.

The New Tchefuncta Country Club which has approximatley 25,000 square feet including a work-out area will be completed by May 2008. The club offers nearly every facility conceivable from the finest dining in the Florida Parishes to one of the most interesting 18-hole courses of this area and also including new surfaced swimming pool, all new tennis courts, a riding stable, along with parks, picnic and barbeque areas, launching ramp, docks, boating and fishing.
